Pointe-Claire Approves $42.1M in 2027 Projects (Pointe-Claire)
Council approved $42.1 million in 2027 capital projects, including drainage improvements, park upgrades and work on the Saint-Jean overpass above Highway 40.
New Road-Safety Measures in Pierrefonds-Roxboro (Pierrefonds-Roxboro)
Pierrefonds-Roxboro plans 48 speed bumps and flashing beacons at 14 crossings. Increased police presence near schools continues through September 18.
Residents Push to Restore Airport Air Monitoring (Dorval)
An air-quality monitoring station at Montréal-Trudeau Airport has been offline since January because of construction and has yet to be relocated. The station monitors ultrafine particles from airport activity; in 2024, it recorded average levels more than three times higher than a residential monitoring station and levels considered high by the WHO on 330 days of the year. Aéroports de Montréal says it is working with the City of Montréal to find a new location, but no reopening date has been announced.
Vehicle Crashes into DDO Dental Clinic (Dollard-des-Ormeaux)
A vehicle entered Luminance Dentaire on Saint-Jean Boulevard, damaging the storefront and interior. The report does not establish the cause or whether anyone was injured.

Romados Is Coming to Pointe-Claire 🍗 (Pointe-Claire)
One of Montreal’s best-known Portuguese chicken spots is heading west. Romados is opening on Brunswick Blvd. in the next few weeks, with the same menu and charcoal-grilled chicken as its Montreal and Laval locations. Here's what we know so far →

UCI Road World Championships Kick Off (Montreal city streets)
Montreal becomes the centre of the cycling world this weekend. The championships open with a free ceremony at Parc Jeanne-Mance Saturday at 5 p.m., followed by the Women’s and Men’s Elite individual time trials Sunday starting at 9 a.m. Roadside viewing is free.
Oktoberfest at Parc Jean-Drapeau (Jardins des Floralies, Parc Jean-Drapeau)
Quebec and German breweries, food stalls and music bring a Bavarian-inspired weekend to the park September 18–20. Friday 3–10 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Entry is free; tastings cost extra.
TEMPÉO Dance & Music Festival (Place des Arts)
Dance outdoors to live music and DJs at this free five-night festival on the Esplanade. This weekend features cumbia Friday, K-pop Saturday and kompa Sunday, with performances and dance lessons from 6–10 p.m.
